Help the Residents Association Prepare for Winter

Brookland Manor is the largest remaining affordable community in DC, with 535 affordable units across 22 acres. At a time when family-sized units across DC are being eliminated and not replaced, Brookland Manor's affordable four and five bedroom units are some of the last places in the District available for large families. The Brookland Manor community is continuously fighting a redevelopment battle that will displace hundreds of residents by eliminating all four and five bedroom units, and a majority of the three bedroom units.

Brookland Manor needs all of our support. This fundraiser and wish lists are two easy ways we can support them, by providing residents with essentials that will help them thrive and in turn help them focus on their fight against displacement.

• Brookland Manor Mutual Aid Fund (GoFundMe): We are also holding a winter supply drive for the Brookland Manor residents. The funds raised on this page will help us buy school supplies, basic cleaning supplies, groceries for the winter, winter clothing, and stipends for organizers and content producers.

• Brookland Manor Mutual Aid Wish List (Amazon): This wish list includes supplies to help kids with distance learning and cleaning supplies to fight COVID-19.
